Mission
To reduce the inequities racialised communities face in accessing mental health support in the workplace.
Meet Our Founder
Ngozi's journey to founding Happiworkers is deeply rooted in both personal experience and professional expertise. Having navigated her own mental health challenges for two decades, including recurrent depression, Ngozi transformed her struggles into a powerful mission. Her path led her to become a qualified mental health social worker and psychotherapist, uniquely positioning her to understand the intricate connections between mental health, workplace dynamics, and racial equity.
As the former founder of a culturally sensitive mental health service, Ngozi witnessed firsthand the critical need for tailored mental health support, especially for racialised communities. This experience and her professional training make her the ideal leader for Happiworkers.
Today, Ngozi stands at the forefront of advocating for anti-racist practices in the workplace. Her focus is on creating inclusive, psychologically safe environments and removing barriers to racially informed mental health support. Currently pursuing her doctorate, Ngozi is researching the factors that enable and inhibit Black women from attaining leadership positions in organisations. This academic pursuit fuels her dedication to equipping leaders with the tools to champion the needs of underserved employees and create truly equitable work environments.

We are motivated to make mental health accessible to every small company.
At Happiworkers, a happy workforce is the foundation of a successful company. Our mission is to make culturally sensitive, anti-racist mental health support accessible to every small company, ensuring that all employees, particularly those from racialised communities, feel valued, supported, and empowered to bring their whole selves to work.
We exist to help organisations better support their underserved employees through the lens of anti-racism, focusing on its impact on their well-being, sense of belonging, and effectiveness at work. We challenge the notion of an inclusive workplace where employees must change themselves to fit in or receive only generic mental health support that fails to consider their unique cultural and racial experiences.
